LAHORE (Urdu Times) The Asian Cultural Association of Pakistan, while continuing its traditions, organized the Yaad-e-Hussain (A.S.) Mehfil Musalma Soz-o-Salam during the month of Muharram-ul-Haram, as in previous years, with great devotion and respect at PILAC Hall No. 2, Punjabi Complex, Gaddafi Stadium, Ferozepur Road, Lahore. The event received the cooperation of PILAC for the hall arrangements. The proceedings of this spiritually uplifting gathering were conducted by renowned compere Riaz Khan.

Addressing the respected Ulama-e-Kiram, Mashaikh-e-Izam, distinguished guests, poets, Soz-o-Salam presenters, members of the literary community, ladies and gentlemen, Riaz Khan said that today’s blessed and spiritually inspiring gathering is not merely an event but a renewal of the great message of love, loyalty, sacrifice, selflessness, and the supremacy of truth that was written in the field of Karbala fourteen centuries ago. Karbala teaches us that character is more important than power, truth is greater than strength, and the real success in life lies in remaining steadfast upon the truth. Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.), along with his Ahl-e-Bait (R.A.) and devoted companions, proved that a Muslim may sacrifice his head before oppression but can never bow before falsehood.

Iqbal beautifully said:

“Ghareeb-o-Sada-o-Rangeen Hai Dastan-e-Haram,
Nihayat Is Ki Hussain (R.A.), Ibtida Hai Ismail (A.S.).”

Ladies and gentlemen! Today’s gathering has been organized not only to pay tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) and the martyrs of Karbala but also to renew our pledge that we shall strive to walk on the path of truth, justice, love, tolerance, and unity.

Recitation of the Holy Qur’an

What better way could there be to begin every blessed gathering than with the sacred words of Allah Almighty? With utmost respect, I invite Qari Ghulam Ghaus Hajveri to come forward and illuminate our gathering with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an.

Riaz Khan said, “May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to understand and act upon the Holy Qur’an.”

For Hamd Bari Ta’ala, I invite Ghulam Mustafa Qadri to come forward and present his humble tribute in the Court of Allah Almighty.

Let us now present our tribute in the blessed court of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. I invite Naat Khawan Firasat Qadri to come forward and praise the Holy Prophet Peace and Blessings be Upon Him. May Allah Almighty further increase your love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ.

His great sacrifice is a beacon of light for humanity.

Today the world is searching for a way out of the darkness of oppression, and Karbala continues to teach humanity the lessons of justice, patience, steadfastness, and speaking the truth.

Today’s devotion-filled gathering has become a living example of religious harmony.

“Insaan Ko Bedar To Ho Lene Do, Har Qaum Pukare Gi Hamare Hain Hussain (A.S.).”

Emerging Zakira Kaneez Hussain Karbalai, while narrating the story of the martyrdom of the martyrs of Karbala, said that the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions will be remembered until the Day of Judgment.

May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to remain steadfast upon the truth.
