Rawalpindi (Urdu Times) A woman was murdered at her in ,laws’ house in the Habib Line area of Adiala Road under Thana Saddar Barooni. An attempt was made to portray the incident as suicide.According to the police, Muhammad Ibrahim stated: “I am a resident of Dera Ghazi Khan and do farming. My sister Sundus was married to Tanveer two years ago; they have a one-year-old son. My brother-in-law Tanveer used to work in Dubai and returned four months ago. However, since the marriage there had been discord between my sister and her husband because he used to talk to girls on the phone and spent most of his time outside the house.For the past three or four days, the brother-in-law had been putting mental pressure on my sister on the basis of suspicion. Last night I spoke to my mother, who told me that the in-laws had been troubling her a lot. When I contacted my sister, the brother-in-law’s sister Fiza answered the phone and said that your sister has committed suicide. Upon receiving the information, we reached there with the brothers and saw that my sister had fresh henna applied. My sister was murdered by her husband Tanveer and Abdul Aziz, along with other unknown persons, by putting a noose around her neck.”The police have registered a case and started the investigation.According to police sources, when the police team reached the scene upon information, the room door appeared to have been broken open and the body was lying on the bed inside the room. A dupatta was around the neck and there was a mark of the noose on the neck. The Rescue 1122 team had also arrived.
