Rawalpindi (Urdu Times) In The Rawat Area, A Horrific End to a ”Facebook Friendship” And Acquaintance, A young man, under the pretext of marriage, subjected a woman to sexual abuse for three years. Rawat Police Station registered a case on the application of a working woman.According to the complainant, she works as an assistant in a hair transplant institute and earns one lakh rupees per month. She became acquainted with Vishal Akhtar on Facebook three years ago. Later, contact was established over the phone, and the relationship grew. Vishal assured her of marriage. At various times, she gave him gifts such as clothes, shoes, a watch, perfume, etc. Vishal also extracted money from her on different occasions. Receipts for all items, whose total value amounts to two lakh rupees, are available. Vishal also took three lakh rupees in cash at various times.During this period, he asked to meet her family, which she arranged, after which he started visiting her home. The matter also spread among the family and community that her marriage was to take place with Vishal.Vishal, by giving false assurances of love and marriage, subjected her to sexual abuse for three years. In April, he took her to a hotel room in Phase 7, where he forcibly sexually assaulted her. Confirmation of visits to the hotel can also be obtained from CCTV cameras. Vishal threatened that if she told anyone, he would kill her. Later, it came to light that he was already married to someone else and refused to marry her.Vishal committed deception and sexual exploitation, defamed her and her entire family, and left her with nothing. He also kept extracting money and gifts, and committed fraud. Legal action should be taken.The police stated that the case has been registered and investigation is underway.
