Islamabad (Urdu Times) HEC Anti-Drugs and Tobacco Committee Holds Key Meeting on Joint Measures to Protect Youth from Drug Abuse،According to the details, following the directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, an important meeting of the Anti-Drugs and Tobacco Committee was held under the auspices of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), focusing on joint measures to protect the younger generation from drugs and tobacco.The meeting reviewed various measures to prevent the growing trend of drug and tobacco use and to protect young people from their harmful effects.SP Industrial Area Zone Khalid Mehmood Awan, SHO Women Police Station, Law Officer and HEC officials attended the meeting. Participants held detailed discussions on strengthening measures against drug and tobacco use in educational institutions, raising awareness among young people, and organizing awareness seminars at educational institutions.The participants emphasized the importance of educating children and young people about the harmful effects of drugs and tobacco at an early stage. They also stressed the need for a coordinated and comprehensive awareness campaign through close cooperation among all relevant institutions.

The meeting resolved to further strengthen awareness activities in educational institutions to protect young people from negative influences and encourage them to focus on education, healthy activities and positive engagement.Islamabad Police will continue working in collaboration with relevant institutions to strengthen awareness and preventive initiatives against drugs and tobacco and play its role in protecting the younger generation from the harmful effects of substance abuse.
