ISLAMABAD (Urdu Times) Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir has made it clear that the resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces in Marka-e-Haq has enhanced Pakistan’s global prestige,
Our greatest strength is national unity, enemy’s ambitions will be thwarted, armed forces are determined despite the war of external support for extremism, propaganda.
During the visit of the participants of the 27th National Security Workshop to the General Headquarters (GHQ), the participants were briefed on the regional and internal situation.
The Field Marshal said that the region is going through geopolitical conflict, cross-border terrorism, hybrid threats are increasing in the region, armed forces are determined despite the war of external support for extremism, propaganda.
The Field Marshal said that the resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces in Marka-e-Haq has enhanced Pakistan’s global prestige, our greatest strength is national unity, enemy’s ambitions will be thwarted.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said that Pakistan is a dignified, influential country that will definitely take its rightful place.
He said that facing external-backed extremism and information war, the army, law enforcement agencies are ensuring national defense with high professionalism.
Meanwhile, a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army said that the participants of the 27th National Security Workshop visited the General Headquarters (GHQ), where they were given a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan’s regional and internal security scenario and the current national security environment.
During the visit, the delegation also held an interactive session with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir (Nishan-e-Imtiaz, Military).
The Chief of Army Staff highlighted the changing regional environment shaped by increasing geopolitical competition, cross-border terrorism and hybrid threats.
He stressed that despite complex challenges (including external-sponsored terrorism and information warfare), Pakistan’s armed forces, intelligence agencies and law enforcement agencies are demonstrating consistent professionalism and commitment to safeguard national security.
The Chief of Army Staff said that Pakistan is an important country and it is its destiny to attain its rightful place in the community of nations of the world. The professionalism, determination and commitment of the armed forces during the struggle for truth have enhanced Pakistan’s global standing.
He stressed that our greatest strength lies in national unity and together we will defeat the evil designs of the enemies, God willing.
Participants were briefed on ongoing national initiatives against illegal activities, including smuggling, drug trafficking, and organized criminal networks, which are negatively impacting security.
Updates were also shared on improvements in border controls and repatriation of illegal foreigners, aimed at maintaining internal order and safeguarding national interests.
The Chief of Army Staff said that national integrity, security, and the safety of every Pakistani citizen are top priorities for the Pakistan Army and will not be compromised under any circumstances.

Concluding the session, the Chief of Army Staff reiterated the Pakistan Army’s commitment to supporting the federal and provincial governments, and said that coordinated national initiatives and institutional coherence are essential for lasting peace, stability, and prosperity.
The National Security Workshop is the flagship program of the National Defense University (NDU), which brings together parliamentarians, senior civil and military officers, academia, and representatives of civil society.
