ISLAMABAD (Urdu Times): (Saqib khattar) An important meeting was held at the CDA Headquarters under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Director General Civil Defense Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by CDA Member Administration & Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafiz, DG Resources, Deputy DG Enforcement, Director DMA, Director Sports and other senior officers of CDA.

During the meeting, detailed discussionwere held regarding the open auction of CDA’s commercial plots scheduled for July 15-17, 2025, as well as current and future projects related to promotion of sports facilities, hotel industry, and tourism in the Federal Capital.

Chairman CDA directed that maximum facilities should be provided to all investors participating in the upcoming auction of commercial plots and shops. The meeting was informed that investors are being offered prime opportunities in the auction of commercial plots across various categories, including approximately 46 commercial plots and shops in Blue Area’s Parking Plaza.

Chairman CDA instructed that information counters and booths should be set up in order to provide complete information to investors regarding the details of auction process, in addition to obtaining details from all CDA wings. The projects include the Gandhara Heritage & Citizen Center, hotel plots, Theme Park, Melody Food Street, Lake-view Park and various investment opportunities in other places. Similarly, under DMA, Saidpur Village restaurants, shops, Melody food kiosks, digital parking and digital screens and food courts in the Diplomatic Enclave will be included. The aim of these projects and initiatives is to establish Islamabad as a global hub for hospitality, sports and tourism related activities.

During the briefing, the Director Sports & Culture briefed that, pursuing the directions of Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi, the Planning Wing has allocated space for 25 football and 25 cricket grounds with work to commence gradually. Additionally, space has been designated for three futsal grounds and one indoor cricket ground. Furthermore, five cricket academies are being established in Islamabad. The meeting was also informed that locations for various sports complexes in the city are being finalized. These complexes will include swimming pools, gyms, indoor games and coffee shops, serving not only as sports facilities but also as recreational centers for families.

Chairman CDA said that the authority is committed to completing all necessary measures and projects on time to transform Islamabad into a modern and beautiful city, ensuring the provision of top-tier tourism and recreational facilities for its citizens.
