On the completion of 27 years of Pakistan becoming a nuclear power, the nation celebrated Youm Takbir with national enthusiasm. The day began with Quran recitation in mosques and prayers for Pakistan’s security. Scholars organized special prayers for the progress of Pakistan. Scholars said that May 28 is a very important day in the history of Pakistan, you Pakistan is stronger and more stable, the pride of the entire nation is higher than ever. On May 28, 1998, Pakistan restored the balance of power in the region by carrying out 6 explosions in response to India’s five nuclear explosions. Pakistan asserted its right to defend itself. Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit-1 set a national record by generating electricity continuously for 400 days. Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit-5 under construction will generate 1,200 megawatts of electricity after completion. 4 agricultural centers are ensuring food security through 159 special varieties of crops. Nuclear Institute for Agriculture and Biology Faisalabad is producing naturally colored cotton. The announcement said that this institution has also been recognized as a supporting center of the International Atomic Energy Agency, PIAS University and other educational institutions are providing international standard education. The announcement said that the peaceful use of nuclear technology will continue to play a key role in promoting sustainable development. Today, we have achieved strategic defense power. On May 28, we resolve to protect the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. We pay tribute to the scientists, engineers, civil and military leadership associated with the nuclear program. The President paid tribute to Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for laying the foundation of Pakistan’s nuclear program and said that becoming a nuclear power was not just a manifestation of our technological progress. The acquisition of nuclear power was a wise decision to maintain peace through force. The Prime Minister said that by the grace and mercy of Allah, Pakistan was victorious in the battle of May 6-10, and emerged victorious in the war imposed by India. He said that on May 28, 1998, India had challenged our security, defense and sovereignty by carrying out 5 nuclear explosions, Nawaz Sharif made Pakistan a nuclear power by carrying out 6 explosions, at that time Nawaz Sharif expressed the aspirations and interests of the nation. He said that nuclear explosions gave a clear message to the enemy forces, our armed forces and nuclear scientists made history, Youm-e-Takbir teaches us the lesson of selfless service for the integrity of the country.
