Lahore, November 25, 2025 (Urdu Times): Tetra Pak Pakistan recently participated in the 28th Annual Sustainable Development Conference represented by Noor Aftab, Director Corporate Affairs Pakistan and MENA region and Muhammad Bin Shahzad, Sustainability Manager at Tetra Pak. The conference was titled “Sustainable Development in the Emerging World Dis|Order” and hosted by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) in Islamabad.
During the event, Tetra Pak officials participated in a high-impact plenary session on the topic of “Circular Economy and Food Systems Nexus: Transforming Pakistan’s Dairy Sector for a Sustainable Future”. Additionally, the company also engaged in fireside conversations on “Resilient Dairy Futures: Integrating Nutrition, Circularity & Climate Action” and “Redefining Responsibility: EPR, Recycling & the Future of Sustainable Packaging.” These sessions highlighted the need for collaborative action to strengthen the dairy value chain, enhance recycling systems, and promote low-carbon food production.
Tetra Pak was also honored with the Sustainability Award in the category of Sustainability Education & Community-Led Adaptation for its School Recycling Awareness Program, implemented in collaboration with WWF Pakistan. The recognition underscores the company’s long-standing commitment to driving environmental awareness and building a culture of responsible waste management among younger generations.
