Karachi (Urdu Times) Karachi The Chairman of Town Municipal Corporation Manghopir, Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, conducted a detailed visit to inspect the ongoing road carpeting development work in Union Committee 12. During the visit, he reviewed the ongoing road carpeting work, the material being used, construction quality and overall progress of the project. The Chairman personally inspected various stages of the work and also received a detailed briefing from the concerned officers and staff regarding the progress and implementation of the project.
On the occasion, Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi directed the concerned officers and construction staff to ensure the highest possible standard in the road carpeting work and to pay particular attention to the quality of construction material. He stated that development works carried out through public resources are not merely formal activities but are undertaken for the convenience of citizens and the improvement of the area. Therefore, it is essential to ensure their strength, durability and long-term utility. He directed that the road carpeting work be completed in accordance with the prescribed technical standards so that the road remains in good condition for a long period after completion.
Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi also inspected different sections of the ongoing work and checked the quality of the material and road carpeting. He directed the concerned staff to ensure effective monitoring at every stage of the work. He stated that there would be no compromise on the quality of development projects and that it must be ensured that projects provided for the public are genuinely useful, strong and durable.
During the visit, Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi also met with citizens and residents from different areas of Union Committee 12. He listened directly to their problems, complaints and suggestions and issued necessary directions to the concerned officers on the spot for their resolution. The residents expressed their gratitude to Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi for initiating the road carpeting work in Union Committee 12, stating that the construction and improvement of the road would help reduce difficulties faced by residents in their daily commute and would provide greater convenience to students, employees, senior citizens and other members of the community.
The citizens also apprised the Chairman of other municipal issues and requirements in the area. Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi listened attentively to the issues raised by the residents and directed the concerned officers to take practical measures for their resolution and to make effective use of available resources. He stated that the fundamental responsibility of municipal institutions is to provide better facilities to citizens and ensure timely resolution of their problems, for which field presence, effective monitoring of development works and direct engagement with citizens are essential.
Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi said that development activities are continuing in various Union Committees of Manghopir Town in accordance with public needs and the priorities of the respective areas. The construction and improvement of roads are also part of these initiatives, as better roads not only facilitate transportation for citizens but also improve access to other basic facilities and make daily activities easier for residents.
He further stated that the real success of development projects lies not merely in their completion but in their quality and the benefits they provide to the public. Therefore, the concerned officers and staff should continuously monitor ongoing projects, ensure compliance with technical requirements and make certain that all projects are completed according to the prescribed standards. He specifically directed that the strength and durability of the road carpeting work be ensured at every stage so that citizens do not have to face repeated road repair issues and the benefits of the development work continue to serve the public for a long period.

On the occasion of the visit to Union Committee 12, Vice Chairman Town Municipal Corporation Manghopir Rana Muhammad Arif, Chairman Union Committee 12 Syed Hilal Rehmani, AEE Syed Mazhar Hussain Shah, Sub-Engineer Junaid Siddiqui, Pakistan Peoples Party workers, area dignitaries and concerned staff were also present.
