Islamabad (Urdu Times) IGP Directs Better Traffic Management, Stronger Enforcement،According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry visited the Traffic Police Headquarters, where Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan briefed him in detail on the overall performance of the Islamabad Traffic Police, operational matters, and the performance of various departments.The IGP Islamabad directed that traffic facilities, including driving licence services, be further improved for citizens and that citizen-friendly policing be made more effective. He directed that public awareness initiatives be continued alongside the enforcement of traffic laws, particularly regarding traffic rules and road safety.Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry said that smooth traffic flow, public facilitation, and road safety are among the top priorities of Islamabad Police. He directed traffic police officers and officials to maintain professionalism, discipline, and courteous conduct while performing their duties. He further directed that practical measures be continued to make the traffic system in Islamabad more organized and effective.The IGP Islamabad said that protecting citizens’ lives and property, effectively enforcing traffic laws, and providing public facilities remain top priorities, and that all available resources should be utilized to achieve these objectives.Later, a high-level meeting was held at Safe City Islamabad under the chairmanship of IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, which was attended by senior police officers from across the district. The IGP Islamabad received detailed briefings on the performance of all divisions, the crime situation, and law and order.The IGP Islamabad directed the officers to further strengthen measures for crime prevention, ensure the prompt resolution of citizens’ complaints, and continue effective action against criminal elements. He emphasized that all officers must perform their duties with professionalism, responsibility, effective supervision, and discipline.
