Islamabad (Urdu Times) IGP reviews CTD, SWAT deployment for Muharram،According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi remained engaged late into the night in important meetings and reviews of security matters. In this regard, he held a meeting with Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, AIG Operations/SSP CTD Saud Khan, and other senior officers.During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of the security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram, field deployments, and measures taken for the protection of citizens. The meeting discussed the deployment of CTD and SWAT personnel during Muharram-ul-Haram, special operations, and effective strategies to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.IGP Islamabad issued directions to senior police officers to utilize all available resources to ensure a safe and peaceful environment.Later, the IGP Islamabad visited Imambargah Asna Ashri in G-6/2 and Imambargah Babul Ilm in I-8. He reviewed the security arrangements and issued necessary directions to the concerned officers.On this occasion, he stated that foolproof security arrangements would be ensured during Muharram-ul-Haram under all circumstances and that maintaining law and order would remain the top priority. He further informed that all processions and religious gatherings are being continuously monitored through modern cameras and monitoring systems from the central control room established at Safe City Islamabad.He added that special security arrangements have been made at Imam Bargahs, Majalis, and procession venues. Effective checking at entry and exit points, adequate parking facilities, improved lighting, and other security measures have been ensured.IGP Islamabad directed that modern technology and all available resources should be fully utilized during Muharram-ul-Haram. All senior officers, SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs of the relevant police stations will remain present in the field and personally supervise the security arrangements.He further stated that complete coordination and effective communication will be maintained with all relevant institutions so that any emergency situation can be dealt with promptly and effectively He also made it clear that any negligence or carelessness in the performance of duties will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
