Islamabad (Urdu Times) Chairman Pakistan Awami Qut Party Khaqan Waheed Khawaja has said that Pakistan Awami Qut Party is in the true sense in favor of devolution of power to local government level and we believe that local government elections are the solution to the problems of the people. Pakistan Awami Qut Party chief and Chairman of Rawal Foundation and Rawal General Hospital Khaqan Waheed Khawaja, while welcoming the holding of local government elections in Punjab, has said that local government elections should be held immediately in Islamabad as well. Talking to journalists, he said that the dates of local government elections were announced in Punjab and Islamabad before this, the candidates deposited huge fees and made preparations for the local government elections, but the government failed to hold the local government elections on time, which is causing serious concern among the people. He said that the government should immediately hold local government elections in Islamabad and in Punjab as well, this is the fundamental right of the people which should not be taken away from them.
