I have been running Podolski daily across music production. The verdict below reflects real sessions, not marketing bullets. Full context: free VST download.
What works
- Latency reporting is honest; delay compensation in every major DAW is clean.
- Sound quality holds up in dense mixes without the usual synth plugins artefacts.
- Its synth plugins engine is CPU-light on modern rigs — even multi-instance projects stayed under 20% CPU on an M2 Pro.

What drags
UI at 4K on Windows scales awkwardly — usable but not sharp. That was the single friction point in eight weeks of use.
Who should get it
If you already have three or four synth plugins options and none feel right, Podolski is worth two weeks of trial. If you have zero and want a single reliable pick, this is one of the safer bets in u-he’s catalogue.
