ISLAMABAD (Urdu Times) The establishment of Kurram Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KWCCI), Parachinar, is a historic milestone — it is the first formal institutional step towards economic empowerment of women in the newly merged tribal districts of Pakistan, especially in areas affected by militancy and deprivation.
This visionary initiative is the result of the wise leadership and extraordinary insight of Dr. Humaira Ambrain, who turned this dream into a reality. KWCCI has now become a platform where tribal women are not only starting businesses but also moving forward in the field of leadership, thus becoming active contributors to the economy of Pakistan.
This institution is a symbol of self-confidence, perseverance and social awareness. In a society where even leaving the house was considered a disgrace, they are now playing a practical role in dignified employment, financial independence and economic development.
For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, this institution is a shining example of inclusive development, and for Pakistan, it is a practical embodiment of the vision that includes a commitment to taking every corner of the country, every class and every gender along on the journey of development. It is time that we not only appreciate such institutions
