ISLAMABAD, September 25, 2026 (Urdu Times): Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) visited the National Police Academy (NPA), Islamabad, to review the progress of the ongoing development project being executed by CDA. The visit was aimed at assessing the pace of work, reviewing the quality and construction standards, and identifying measures required to ensure the timely and smooth completion of the project in accordance with approved plans, applicable rules and regulations, and the law.
During the visit, Director General (Works) and Director (Special Projects), CDA, were also present and briefed the Chairman CDA on various aspects of the project, including the progress of ongoing development works and the status of different components of the project.
Chairman CDA inspected the ongoing development works at the project site and reviewed the pace and quality of execution. He directed the concerned officers to ensure that all works are carried out strictly in accordance with the approved designs, specifications and technical requirements. He emphasized that there would be no compromise on the quality and standards of construction and that all components of the project must be executed strictly within the approved scope and in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
Chairman CDA emphasized that development projects of national importance require focused attention, professional execution and continuous monitoring. He directed the concerned formations to ensure completion of the project within the stipulated timelines. He further instructed the officers to closely monitor progress on a regular basis and maintain effective coordination among all relevant stakeholders so that administrative or technical issues do not cause unnecessary delays.
Chairman CDA directed that the pace of all ongoing development works in Islamabad should be accelerated and that any issues or bottlenecks affecting timely completion must be identified and addressed promptly in accordance with the law and applicable procedures. He said that the development of the National Police Academy is an important project and, therefore, requires sustained supervision, effective coordination and timely decision-making at every stage of implementation.
He also emphasized the efficient and judicious utilization of available resources and directed the concerned CDA formations to remain actively engaged with relevant authorities and stakeholders to resolve issues and facilitate the smooth execution of the project. He instructed the officers to maintain close coordination so that all project-related matters are addressed in a timely manner and development works proceed without avoidable interruptions.
Chairman CDA reiterated that CDA is committed to ensuring high-quality infrastructure and development standards across Islamabad. He said that CDA is undertaking a range of development initiatives aimed at further improving the city’s infrastructure, road network, public facilities and overall urban environment, with particular emphasis on making Islamabad a more developed, clean, green, safe, environmentally sustainable and tourist-friendly capital.
Citizens have appreciated CDA’s development initiatives and the visible improvements being made in different parts of the city. In particular, citizens have acknowledged CDA’s efforts regarding the construction and rehabilitation of roads, development of underpasses and bridges, beautification and landscaping works, improvement of the overall urban environment, solid waste management and water supply. These initiatives are contributing towards improved safety, environmental conditions and urban connectivity, better traffic flow, enhanced public spaces and a more attractive cityscape.
