Helix Native has been in my template for the past 35 days. Here is the honest report. Full context: free VST download.
What works
- Latency reporting is honest; delay compensation in every major DAW is clean.
- Sound quality holds up in dense mixes without the usual amp simulators artefacts.
- Its amp simulators engine is CPU-light on modern rigs — even multi-instance projects stayed under 20% CPU on an M2 Pro.

What drags
Trial length is shorter than average — plan to evaluate quickly. That was the single friction point in eight weeks of use.
Who should get it
If you already have three or four amp simulators options and none feel right, Helix Native is worth two weeks of trial. If you have zero and want a single reliable pick, this is one of the safer bets in Line 6’s catalogue.
